Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 missing second-row seat bolt
medium How serious is it? About this label
The danger only shows up in a crash and the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, but a rear seat that can move is a real injury risk worth fixing soon.
What's wrong, in plain English
Some of these vehicles left the factory with a bolt missing from the track that holds the second-row seat to the floor. With that bolt gone, the seat is not anchored as strongly as it should be, and it could shift or move in a crash. Anyone riding in the second row could be hurt more badly as a result. A dealer will inspect the seat track and install a new mounting bolt if one is missing.
What you should do
2. Contact your Nissan or INFINITI dealer, or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, to book the inspection.
3. Have the second-row seat track checked and the bolt installed — the work is free.
