Nissan Sentra right headlight may be aimed wrong

NHTSA campaign 22V244000 · Reported 2022-04-13 · Nissan North America, Inc.

medium How serious is it? About this label

A moderate concern — poorer visibility raises crash risk, especially at night — but the notice does not tell owners to stop driving the car.

What's wrong, in plain English

Some 2020 Nissan Sentra cars with LED headlights may have the right-hand headlight pointed in the wrong direction. A headlight aimed incorrectly doesn't light up the road the way it should, so the driver may not see as much at night. The dealer will replace the right-hand headlight free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 10, 2022. Nissan's number for this recall is R20B4.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to check whether your Sentra is included. 2. Contact your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall R20B4) to schedule the headlight replacement. 3. Have the headlight replaced — the repair is free.
