Nissan Sentra driver's seat may not be secured

NHTSA campaign 25V153000 · Reported 2025-03-11 · Nissan North America, Inc.

high How serious is it? About this label

This is serious in a crash because the driver may not be properly restrained, but the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, so you can keep driving while you schedule the free repair.

What's wrong, in plain English

On certain 2025 Sentra cars, the driver's seat frame may not be fully fastened to the outer side of the seat track. That means the seat is not held down the way it should be. In a crash, a loose seat may not hold the driver in place properly, and the seat belt anchor points may not do their job. These cars do not meet the federal safety rules for seats and seat belt anchorages. A dealer will inspect the seat and replace the lower seat frame if needed.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your car is included. 2. Call your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall PMA45) and book an inspection. 3. Have the seat frame inspected and replaced if needed — the work is free.
