Some 2021-2022 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport SUVs left the factory with long fuel injectors that are missing their filters. The injectors are the parts that spray gasoline into the engine. Without the filter, an injector can leak fuel. Leaking gasoline near a hot engine can catch fire. Volkswagen mailed letters to owners in July 2022, and dealers replace the injectors.

2. Call Volkswagen at 1-800-893-5298 or your dealer and mention recall 24iD.
3. Have the dealer replace the long fuel injectors — there is no cost to you.
