The fuel tank on these plug-in hybrids may have been formed incorrectly at the factory. A badly made tank can leak gasoline. If leaking fuel reaches something hot enough to light it, or a spark, it can start a fire. Hyundai has not told owners to park the car outside or to stop driving it. A dealer will inspect the tank and replace it if it is one of the bad ones, at no charge.

Safety risk
