What's wrong, in plain English
Certain 2021 Ram 1500 trucks with the 5.7L eTorque engine have a software problem in the computer that controls the engine and transmission. The software can create the wrong mix of fuel and air in the engine, which can make the engine shut off while you're driving. The dealer will reload updated software at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed April 27, 2023. Chrysler's number for this recall is 37A.
