Ram 1500 driver airbag may not be connected

NHTSA campaign 25V298000 · Reported 2025-05-08 · Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)

high How serious is it? About this label

An airbag that does not deploy in a crash means more risk of injury to the driver, though there is no instruction to stop driving and Chrysler says every affected truck has already been fixed.

What's wrong, in plain English

Chrysler is recalling certain 2019-2024 Ram 1500 pickups. The driver's side airbag may not have been connected properly, so it might not inflate the way it is supposed to in a crash. Dealers fixed this by securing the airbag connectors at no charge, and Chrysler reports that all affected trucks have already been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed May 27, 2025. It is still worth checking your own truck to confirm the work was done.
