What's wrong, in plain English

These SUVs have headlights that aim themselves automatically as you drive. At certain higher speeds, the system can tilt the beams too far downward. That is the opposite of what you want at speed: the light lands close to the front of the vehicle instead of reaching far down the road, so you see less of what is coming. The dealer fixes it by changing settings in one of the vehicle's control modules.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your vehicle is included. 2. Make a free appointment with your Infiniti dealer to have the module settings reconfigured. 3. Call Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 and reference recall PC994 if you need help.

Summary
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Infiniti QX60 vehicles. When driving at certain high speeds, the Adaptive Front-Light System (AFS) may incorrectly adjust the headlights downward.
Safety risk
Incorrectly adjusted headlights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will reconfigure the Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) settings, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 26, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC994.
