Genesis GV70, GV80, G80, G90 fuel pump failure
high How serious is it? About this label
Serious — losing drive power in traffic can cause a crash; Hyundai does not tell owners to park the vehicle, but have it inspected promptly and pay attention to any hesitation or loss of power.
What's wrong, in plain English
The fuel pump is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to the engine. On these vehicles it can fail. If it does, the engine stops getting fuel and the vehicle loses power to drive — it can slow down or stop moving while you are out on the road. Your dealer will inspect the fuel pump and replace the assembly at no charge. This recall is an expansion of an earlier one, so some vehicles are being covered for the first time.
