Audi Q4 e-tron wrong headlight software affects parking lights
medium How serious is it? About this label
Incorrect headlight control module software may cause the parking lights not to operate as intended when the headlights are turned on and the turn signals are activated, which can reduce vehicle visibility and increase the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
Some 2022-2024 Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback vehicles were built with the wrong software in the module that controls the headlights. Because of that mistake, the parking lights may not work the way they should when the headlights are on and you switch on a turn signal. That makes your car harder for other drivers to see in those moments. These vehicles do not meet the federal rule for lights. A dealer reloads the correct software.
