What's wrong, in plain English

On some 2025 EX90 models, the bolts that hold a second-row free-standing seat to the vehicle may not have been tightened enough when the car was built. A seat that is not bolted down tightly may not hold a passenger properly in a crash, so that person could be hurt worse than they otherwise would be. The fix is quick: a Volvo dealer checks each of those bolts and tightens any that are loose, free of charge.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your EX90 is included in recall 24V869000.
2. Contact a Volvo dealer and mention recall R10292, or call Volvo at 1-800-458-1552.
3. Have the second-row seat bolts inspected and tightened — free of charge.
