Ford Super Duty, Expedition and Corsair backup camera can fail
medium How serious is it? About this label
Rearview camera failure can reduce the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The camera that shows what is behind you when you back up may go blank or show a scrambled picture. When that happens you cannot see people, pets or objects behind the vehicle on the screen, which makes backing up riskier. A dealer will check the camera and replace it if needed, at no charge. Ford mailed letters to owners in September 2025, so you may already have one.
What you should do
2. Contact your Ford or Lincoln dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, to schedule the work.
3. Have the rearview camera replaced. The repair is free.
