What's wrong, in plain English

On these Broncos, the 360-degree camera system may fail to show the rearview picture when you shift into reverse. Instead of a view of what is behind the vehicle, the screen may show nothing at all. Anything low or close behind you, such as a child, a pet, or a post, could go unseen while you are backing up. This one is not a software update: the dealer replaces the rearview camera itself. The recall also covers more Broncos than an earlier camera recall did.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your Bronco is covered (Ford's recall number is 23S48).
2. Contact your Ford dealer or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to arrange the camera replacement.
3. The new camera is installed free of charge; until then, look behind the vehicle before backing up.

Remedy
Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 8, 2025. Owners may contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 23S48. This recall expands previous recall number 23V-598.
