What's wrong, in plain English

A controller for the electric oil pump in your Palisade is not sealed well enough. Moisture can get inside and build up on the circuit board, causing an electrical short that can start a fire. Hyundai says this can happen while you are driving or while the vehicle is parked. Until it is fixed, park outside and away from buildings. A dealer will replace the oil pump controller free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 11, 2025.

Summary: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Hyundai Palisade vehicles. An insufficient seal on the controller for the electric oil pump may allow moisture to accumulate in the printed circuit board, which can cause an electrical short and result in a fire.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Dealers will replace the electric oil pump controller, free of charge.
