Polestar 3 glass sunroof may come off while driving

NHTSA campaign 25V420000 · Reported 2025-07-14 · Polestar Automotive USA, Inc.

high How serious is it? About this label

A detached glass sunroof can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

The large glass sunroof over the cabin may not be fastened down properly. If what is holding it in place lets go, the whole glass panel can detach from the roof while you are driving. That leaves an opening above your head and sends a big piece of glass onto the road behind you, where it can strike another vehicle or force another driver to swerve. Polestar will replace the panoramic glass sunroof at no charge.
