Polestar 3 may suddenly lose driving power

NHTSA campaign 24V940000 · Reported 2024-12-18 · Polestar Automotive USA, Inc.

critical How serious is it? About this label

Losing drive power without warning while on the road can cause a crash, so get this fixed quickly, though the notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

Certain 2025 Polestar 3 hybrid electric vehicles may have a damaged part that changes high-voltage power into the low-voltage power the car needs. Swings in the 12-volt electrical system can harm this part. When it is damaged, the car cannot move power around properly, and you can suddenly lose the ability to accelerate while driving. Polestar dealers will replace the part free of charge.
