Ford Flex Door Pillar Trim Can Fall Off While Driving

NHTSA campaign 25V732000 · Reported 2025-10-24 · Ford Motor Company

medium How serious is it? About this label

The notice does not tell owners to stop driving, but a part flying off into traffic can cause a crash, and the real fix is not expected until about March 2027.

What's wrong, in plain English

The trim pieces that cover the pillars between the front and back doors can come loose and fall off while you are driving. A piece of trim in the road is a hazard for you and for drivers behind you, and can lead to a crash. Ford mailed a first letter in December 2025 to warn owners, but the fix is not ready yet. Ford expects to send a second letter around March 2027 when the repair is available.
