Volvo VAH truck passenger seat belt anchor may fail

NHTSA campaign 25V753000 · Reported 2025-11-03 · Volvo Trucks North America

high How serious is it? About this label

A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

Volvo built certain VAH trucks from 2019 through 2026 without enough reinforcement in the floor under the passenger seat belt. The spot where the belt bolts to the floor can pull loose or break. In a crash, the belt would not hold the passenger in place the way it is supposed to. These trucks do not meet the federal rule for seat belt anchors. A dealer welds in a new nut and washer to make the anchor strong again.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your truck is included. 2. Call Volvo Trucks customer service at 1-800-528-6586 or your Volvo dealer and ask for recall RVXX2510. 3. Schedule the repair — the new weld nut and washer are installed free of charge.
