Losing power without warning can cause a crash and a short can start a fire, so get this done as soon as possible; Toyota has not told owners to stop driving or to park outside.

What's wrong, in plain English

A bolt inside the inverter — the box that sends power from the hybrid battery to the electric motor — may not have been tightened enough on some 2025-2026 Camry Hybrids. With a loose bolt, the connection may not be solid. That can make the car suddenly lose the power that drives the wheels, and it can also cause an electrical short that starts a fire while the car is on. Toyota dealers will replace the whole inverter at no cost.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to check whether your car is covered.
2. Contact your Toyota dealer, or Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331, and mention recall 25TB15/25TA15.
3. Book the appointment to have the inverter assembly replaced — the repair is free.

Summary
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid and 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles. A bolt inside the inverter may not have been tightened properly, causing incomplete contact at the inverter terminal.
Safety risk
Incomplete contact can cause a loss of motive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a loose bolt can cause an electrical short while the vehicle is powered on, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the inverter assembly, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed July 23, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 25TB15/25TA15.
