Toyota accessory weight label may show wrong numbers
low How serious is it? About this label
The notice says a vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
Gulf States Toyota is recalling certain Toyota vehicles, mostly from the 2023 through 2025 model years, that were fitted with Gulf States Toyota accessories. Models include 4Runner, Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Tacoma, Tundra, Grand Highlander, Sequoia Hybrid, bZ4X, Venza Hybrid and others. The sticker that lists how much weight the added accessories take up may show wrong numbers, so these vehicles do not meet the federal standard for tire and rim selection.
