Ford F-650 liftgate platform can fall from broken pins
Affected vehicles
What's wrong, in plain English
Marathon Industries is recalling a single 2025 Ford F-650 SD work truck. The pins that hold the liftgate platform in place can break. If they do, the platform can drop without warning, and anyone standing near it or loading cargo could be hurt. Marathon will work with the equipment supplier to check the platform bushings and hydraulic parts and install new deck pins, free of charge.
How serious is it?
The danger here is injury from a platform that falls unexpectedly rather than a driving hazard, and no order to stop driving was given, but nobody should stand under or work near the liftgate until it is repaired.
What you should do
2. Contact Marathon Industries customer service at 1-661-286-1520 to arrange the inspection and new deck pins.
3. Watch for the owner notification letter expected in September 2026 — the repair is free.
