Volvo V90CC recalls

Volvo backup camera may not show when reversing medium

Reported 2025-12-23 · Campaign 25V908000 · Model years: 2022

When you shift into reverse, the screen may stay blank instead of showing the view from the backup camera. Without that picture you cannot see what is directly behind the car — a child, a pet, a low post — so it is easier to back into something. A software update fixes it, either at the dealer or sent to your car over the air. Cars already repaired under the earlier recall need this new fix too.

Volvo backup camera may not display when reversing medium

Reported 2025-05-08 · Campaign 25V282000 · Model years: 2022

Volvo is recalling a long list of 2021-2025 models, including the XC40, XC60, XC90, S60, S90, V60, V60CC, V90, V90CC, C40, EC40 and EX40. When you shift into reverse, the backup camera picture may not appear on the screen, so you cannot see what is behind the vehicle. The fix is free software, installed either at a dealer or sent to the car over the air. Owner letters were mailed June 27, 2025.

Volvo V60CC and V90CC fuel pump fuse can blow medium

Reported 2021-06-02 · Campaign 21V414000 · Model years: 2020

The fuse protecting the low-pressure pump that feeds fuel from the tank toward the engine can blow, and when it does the pump stops working. With no fuel being delivered, the engine can shut off while you are driving, which can leave you without power in traffic or on the highway. The recall covers a range of 2019-2020 Volvo cars and wagons, not just yours. The fix is quick: a dealer installs a different fuse, free of charge.

Volvo automatic emergency braking may fail to stop medium

Reported 2020-03-12 · Campaign 20V144000 · Model years: 2020

These Volvo cars and wagons have automatic emergency braking — a safety feature that brakes for you if it senses you are about to hit something. On these vehicles, the software and the hardware do not match up correctly, so the system may not recognize an obstacle and may not brake when it should. The recall covers only this automatic backup feature, not your regular brakes. Dealers load corrected software into the safety system's control unit at no charge.

Volvo V60 and V90 Cross Country emergency GPS fails medium

Reported 2018-11-13 · Campaign 18V800000 · Model years: 2018

These cars have a connected-services module that automatically sends your location to emergency responders if you are in a crash. A software error can keep the car's connected features and driver-assist systems from working properly, which means your GPS location may never reach the people coming to help. The car itself drives, brakes and steers normally. A dealer loads corrected software at no cost, and that is the whole repair for this recall.
