Cadillac and Camaro transmission may lock the wheels high

Reported 2025-03-06 · Campaign 25V148000 · Model years: 2020, 2021

Certain Cadillac CT4, CT5, CT6 and Chevrolet Camaro models with the 10-speed automatic transmission can suffer internal damage inside the transmission. If that happens, the wheels can suddenly lock up, meaning they stop turning while you are driving and you lose control of the car. GM dealers will install new monitoring software in the transmission's computer so the problem can be caught, and the work costs you nothing.

Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, GMC: Daytime Running Lights Stay On medium

Reported 2022-12-08 · Campaign 22V903000 · Model years: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023

On these Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles, the daytime running lights can stay lit when you turn the headlights on. They are supposed to switch off at that point. Because they stay bright, they can create glare for other drivers and make it harder for people to see. This does not meet the federal rules for vehicle lamps. A dealer can update the software that controls the lights, or the fix can be sent to the vehicle wirelessly.

Cadillac CT4 and CT5 side curtain airbags possibly misinstalled high

Reported 2021-08-05 · Campaign 21V611000 · Model years: 2020, 2021, 2022

The side curtain airbags run along the roof rail above the doors and drop down over the windows in a crash. On these Cadillacs, those airbags may not have been installed correctly. If one is not mounted the way it should be, it may not open properly when a crash happens, so it may not shield your head as intended. Dealers will inspect the airbags on both sides and reinstall them if needed, free.

GM SUVs and cars: airbag warning light may not work medium

Reported 2021-06-10 · Campaign 21V421000 · Model years: 2021

A software problem in your vehicle's communication module means the airbag warning light on the dash can turn on and off when it shouldn't. Because the light behaves unpredictably, it may fail to tell you when something is genuinely wrong with the airbag system. The notice does not say the airbags themselves are faulty — the problem is with the warning you would get if a fault developed. A free software update fixes it, done at the dealer or sent to the car over the air.

GM Brake Assist Can Fail on Corvette, Trailblazer, Cadillacs high

Reported 2020-09-24 · Campaign 20V588000 · Model years: 2020

These vehicles use an electric system that helps boost your braking, so the pedal feels easy to press. Dirt or moisture on a sensor connection can cut off the signal between the sensor and that booster. If that happens, the power assist goes away and the brake pedal gets very hard to push. The car will still stop, but you have to push much harder and it takes longer. GM dealers replace the brake booster module at no cost.
