Buick and Chevrolet dashboard display may go blank medium

Reported 2023-11-06 · Campaign 23V744000 · Model years: 2024

A software glitch in the module that runs the digital dashboard can make the screen behind the steering wheel go blank. It may happen when you start the vehicle or while you are driving. When the screen is blank, you cannot see how fast you are going and you will not see warning lights telling you about problems like low oil pressure or a brake issue. The fix is a free software update, done either at a dealer or sent to the vehicle over the air.

Chevrolet Trax front suspension arm may break high

Reported 2019-09-12 · Campaign 19V652000 · Model years: 2018

On some 2015-2018 Chevrolet Trax vehicles, a joint in one or both of the front lower suspension arms may have been welded badly. A bad weld can break, letting the suspension arm partly separate from the vehicle. If that happens, the front wheel can turn outward on its own, which changes how the vehicle handles and steers. Dealers will inspect both front lower control arms and replace them if needed, free of charge.

Chevrolet Trax front control arm weld may break high

Reported 2019-04-18 · Campaign 19V312000 · Model years: 2018, 2019

On some 2017-2019 Chevrolet Trax, a joint in one or both of the front lower control arms may not have been welded properly. The lower control arm is the metal arm connecting a front wheel to the body of the car. If a bad weld breaks, the arm can partly pull away from the vehicle. The front wheel can then angle outward, changing how the car steers and handles. Dealers will inspect both arms and replace them if needed.

Buick Encore, Chevrolet Spark, Traverse, Trax airbags may not deploy high

Reported 2018-11-01 · Campaign 18V774000 · Model years: 2019

The computer that decides when to fire the airbags was left in a factory setting used during manufacturing. In that setting, it will not set off the airbags, so they may not inflate in a crash. Affected cars are certain 2019 Buick Encore, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Traverse and Chevrolet Trax models. The fix is quick: a dealer reprograms the computer to the correct setting at no charge.
