A small switch inside the driver's door lock can corrode over time and stop sensing when the door is opened. That switch is what tells the car to set the electronic parking brake, or Auto-Park, automatically when you get out. If the switch fails, the parking brake may never come on, and the vehicle can roll away by itself after you step out. The dealer replaces the driver's door lock free of charge.
Reported 2022-05-20 · Campaign 22V365000 · Model years: 2021
These Mercedes vehicles have a built-in emergency call system that connects the people inside to an emergency call center. A software fault on the SIM card in the car's communication unit can stop the car from connecting to the mobile network, and that shuts the emergency call feature down. You would not know until you needed it, and help could be delayed. The car otherwise drives normally. The fix is a software update, sent to the car over the air or done by a dealer.
Reported 2021-05-14 · Campaign 21V354000 · Model years: 2021
Certain Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models have a software problem in the MBUX multimedia system. The center display can stay black or restart itself after you start the car. When that happens, the backup camera picture may not appear correctly when you shift into reverse, so you cannot see what is behind you on the screen. Because of this, the vehicles do not meet the federal rear visibility rule. A software update fixes it at no charge.
Reported 2021-01-29 · Campaign 21V034000 · Model years: 2021
On some of these Mercedes cars, the right-rear seat is missing one of the two metal bars that a child safety seat clips onto. Without that bar, a child seat cannot be locked into place properly using the built-in clip system, so it may not hold a child safely in a crash. A dealer will check the anchor bracket in the right-rear seat and replace it if the bar is missing, free of charge. Repairs began March 16, 2021.
