Ford F-150 Raptor roof braces may be missing rivets
medium How serious is it? About this label
This only matters in a rollover crash, and the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, but the repair is worth scheduling because you cannot see or feel the problem from the driver's seat.
What's wrong, in plain English
Certain 2018 F-150 Raptor SuperCab trucks built without a moonroof may be missing rivets where the roof braces attach to the roof rail. Those rivets help hold the roof structure together. Without them, the roof is weaker than it was designed to be. In a rollover crash, the roof may not hold up as well as it should, so people inside could be hurt more badly. A dealer installs the missing rivets at no cost to you.
What you should do
2. Call a Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall 17S29), and set up an appointment.
3. Let the dealer install the rivets, which is free of charge.
