Honda Civic Hatchback: owner's guide missing child-seat info
low How serious is it? About this label
The vehicle itself is not broken, but missing child car seat information can lead to a seat being installed wrong, which raises the risk of injury or a crash; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
Certain 2017-2018 Honda Civic Hatchback and Civic Type R vehicles either did not come with an owner's guide, or the guide they came with did not include all the required information about the vehicle's child car seat anchors. Because of that missing information, these vehicles do not meet the federal safety rule covering child restraint anchorage systems. Honda dealers will give you a replacement owner's information kit with the correct information.
