Losing a wheel while driving can easily cause a crash, so this is serious; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, but get it checked right away.

What's wrong, in plain English

On certain 2019 Mazda3 cars, the lug nuts that hold the wheels onto the vehicle may not be tight enough and can work themselves loose over time. This can happen on any of the four wheels. If the nuts loosen far enough, a wheel can come off the car while you are driving. You might notice a clicking, rattling, or vibration from a wheel before it happens, but you should not count on a warning.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your car is on the list. 2. Contact your Mazda dealer or Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500, Option 4, about recall 3519F. 3. Have the dealer tighten all four wheels' lug nuts to the correct specification, free of charge.
