Some 2020 Ford F-150 trucks came with a 17-inch spare tire that may have been damaged while it was being mounted onto its wheel. You would not see the damage just by looking at the truck, because the spare sits stored away until you need it. If you put that spare on and drive, it can suddenly lose air or even come off the wheel. Ford dealers will replace the spare tire for free.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your F-150 is included. 2. Contact a Ford dealer or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to get the spare tire replaced free of charge. 3. Avoid using the recalled spare tire until it has been replaced.
