The front seat belts in these trucks and SUVs have a part called a retractor, which locks the belt in a crash and then controls how far you move forward. On the recalled vehicles, the retractor may lock but then fail to slow your forward movement properly. That means the belt would not hold you back as well as it should, and the people in the front seats could be hurt more seriously in a crash. Dealers will replace the front seat belt retractors.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Jeep or Ram is covered. 2. Contact your dealer or Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall W67) to schedule the work. 3. New front seat belt retractors are installed at no charge.

Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Jeep Wrangler and Ram 2500, 2019-2020 Ram 1500 and 2020 Jeep Gladiator vehicles. In the event of a crash, a front seat belt retractor may not properly slow the occupant's forward movement after locking.
Safety risk: In the event of a crash, if the front seat belts fail to lock, there is an increased risk of injury.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front seat belt retractors, free of charge. The recall began November 12, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is W67.
