Kia Carnival fuel rail tube can leak gasoline
critical How serious is it? About this label
A fuel leak can lead to a fire, so have this checked right away; Kia has not told owners to stop driving or to park the vehicle outside.
What's wrong, in plain English
The plastic tube that carries gasoline to the engine's fuel injectors on certain 2022 Carnival minivans may have been damaged. A damaged tube can let fuel leak out while the engine is running. Leaking gasoline around a hot engine can catch fire. A Kia dealer will inspect the fuel rail and replace it if anything is wrong with it. The recall started in April 2021 and the inspection and any repair cost you nothing.
What you should do
2. Call a Kia dealer to schedule the inspection, or reach Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542 and refer to recall SC211.
3. Get the fuel rail inspected and replaced if needed — free of charge.
