Ram 1500 May Have Wrong-Size Spare Tire Installed
low How serious is it? About this label
This is the mildest kind of recall: the truck is normal to drive, and the danger only shows up if you actually mount that spare, so have it swapped before you ever need it.
What's wrong, in plain English
Some 2021 Ram 1500 trucks left the factory with a spare tire that is not the size listed on the sticker in the driver's door opening. That sticker tells you how much air to put in your tires. Because the spare does not match, an owner who follows the sticker could inflate the spare to the wrong pressure. Driving on a wrongly inflated spare raises the risk of a crash.
