Serious if you are in a crash with someone in the front passenger seat, but the notice places no restriction on driving the car in the meantime.

What's wrong, in plain English

One of the welds on the knee airbag for the front passenger was not done well enough. That airbag sits low in the dash and is meant to cushion the passenger's legs in a crash. Because of the weak weld, it may not open the way it should. If it opens the wrong way during a crash, it can cause injury instead of preventing it. Dealers will replace the front passenger knee airbag at no cost to you.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Mustang is covered. 2. Call a Ford dealer at 1-866-436-7332 and mention recall 22S07. 3. Have the front passenger knee airbag replaced free of charge.
