Nissan Murano side quarter windows can detach
high How serious is it? About this label
A window panel coming off while you drive can cause a crash for you or drivers behind you, so this should be fixed promptly, though the notice does not tell owners to stop driving in the meantime.
What's wrong, in plain English
The quarter glass on some 2024 Murano SUVs — the small fixed window panes toward the rear on each side — may have been installed with the wrong primer. Primer is what helps the adhesive grip the glass, so with the wrong one the glass can work loose and come away from the vehicle. A glass panel that falls off in traffic can land in the road or strike another car. Dealers will replace both the left and right quarter glass panels free of charge.
What you should do
2. Call your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall PD102) to schedule the repair.
3. Have both side quarter glass panels replaced — it costs you nothing.
