Rivian R1T and R1S headlights aimed incorrectly
medium How serious is it? About this label
This is a moderate problem — poorly aimed headlights reduce how far ahead you can see at night and raise crash risk, but there is no warning to stop driving the vehicle.
What's wrong, in plain English
The headlights on these trucks and SUVs may not be pointed where they should be. Headlights have to be aimed within set limits so they light up enough of the road ahead without blinding oncoming drivers. On these vehicles the aim can be off, which means less of the road is lit at night or in bad weather. Rivian will check the aim and adjust the headlights if they are out of position.
