Rivian R1T and R1S Seat Belt Bolts Loose
high How serious is it? About this label
Serious for anyone riding in the second row: a seat belt whose retractor is not properly secured may not hold the person in that seat during a crash, though the notice does not tell owners to stop driving the vehicle.
What's wrong, in plain English
On certain Rivian R1T pickups and R1S SUVs, the bolts that hold the second-row seat belt retractors — the spools the belts wind into on the driver and passenger sides — may not have been tightened enough. If a bolt is loose, that seat belt may not be held firmly in place. Rivian will inspect the bolts and tighten any that need it, free of charge, so the belts work the way they should.
