Toyota Sequoia Hybrid tow hitch cover can fall off
low How serious is it? About this label
Low risk to you personally, but a detached cover can become a road hazard for others; there is no instruction to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
These SUVs have a small cover over the tow hitch opening in the rear bumper. On the affected vehicles that cover can work itself loose and fall off while you are driving. A piece of trim lying in a traffic lane is a hazard for the cars behind you, and someone could hit it or swerve to avoid it. The fix replaces the cover and changes the rear bumper so the new one stays put.
