Toyota Camry and Lexus fuel pumps may stall engine
high How serious is it? About this label
An engine that stalls in traffic can lead to a crash; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, so keep driving is acceptable, but book the free repair soon.
What's wrong, in plain English
The low-pressure fuel pump sits inside the gas tank and sends gasoline to the engine. On certain 2018 Camry, 2019 Lexus NX300 and 2019 RX350L vehicles, that pump can fail. When it does, the engine can stall, which may happen while you are moving — in an intersection, merging, or on the highway. Toyota and Lexus dealers will replace the whole fuel pump assembly for free. Owner letters for this recall were mailed in March 2025.
