Rivian R1T and R1S front seat belt anchors may be loose

NHTSA campaign 25V370000 · Reported 2025-06-03 · Rivian Automotive, LLC

high How serious is it? About this label

A seat belt that is not anchored properly may not protect you in a crash, so have it checked soon; the notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

On these Rivian trucks and SUVs, the bolts holding the front seat belt anchor — the metal loop the belt passes through near your shoulder — may not have been tightened correctly at the factory. This can affect one or both front seats. If an anchor is not secured properly, the seat belt may not hold you in place the way it should in a crash. Rivian will inspect the anchors on both front seats and tighten or secure them as needed.

What you should do
