Lincoln Navigator reverse lights may flicker or stop working

NHTSA campaign 25V831000 · Reported 2025-12-01 · Ford Motor Company

medium How serious is it? About this label

Inoperative or flickering reverse lights may not alert other drivers that the vehicle is reversing, increasing the risk of injury or crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

The long light bar across the back of these 2025 Navigators can crack, either in the outer lens or along a weld. Water then gets inside and collects, and the backup lights can flicker or quit working. That means people behind you may not realize you are backing up, which matters most in parking lots and driveways where someone could be walking past. Dealers replace the whole rear light bar at no cost to you.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your Navigator is included.
2. Contact a Lincoln or Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and reference recall 25C66.
3. Schedule the free rear light bar replacement.
