Some 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 trucks with the enhanced towing option and the 20-inch accessory wheel and tire package have a sticker listing the wrong rear tire pressure. If you follow it, your rear tires end up underinflated. Worse, the truck's tire pressure warning system will not light up to tell you the tires are low, so you may never notice.

How serious is it?

Moderate: the truck is safe to drive, but rolling on underinflated rear tires raises your crash risk, so get the correct pressure set soon.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls — affected VINs have been searchable since August 13, 2026.
2. Watch for the owner letter GM expects to mail on September 28, 2026, or call Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782 about recall N262561970.
3. The dealer updates the software, adds a corrected tire label, sets the right pressure, and resets the monitoring system for free.

Summary
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 vehicles equipped with the enhanced towing option and 20-inch accessory tire/wheel package. The tire information label may state the incorrect rear tire pressure, resulting in underinflated tires and preventing the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from displaying a low tire pressure warning.
Safety risk
Driving with underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect, update the engine control module (ECM) software, apply a tire label overlay, inflate tires to the correct pressure, and perform a tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) re-learn process as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 28, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782.
