There is no order to stop driving, but missing a warning light means you may not learn about a problem until it becomes dangerous, which raises the risk of a crash.

What's wrong, in plain English

The instrument cluster is the set of gauges and warning lights right in front of the steering wheel. On these cars its software can fail to light up the warnings, so a problem with one of the car's systems might never show on the dash. You could be driving with a fault and have no idea. Federal rules require those warnings to work, so these cars do not meet the standard. A dealer will update the cluster software.

Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
Summary: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles. The instrument cluster may not properly illuminate driver warnings. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."
Safety risk: Failure of the instrument cluster to properly illuminate may prevent the driver from receiving warnings about the vehicle's systems, increasing the risk of crash.
Remedy: Chrysler has notified owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. The recall began April 8, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V32.
