INFINITI QX50 tire information sticker may be unreadable

NHTSA campaign 21V025000 · Reported 2021-01-26 · Nissan North America, Inc.

low How serious is it? About this label

Illegible tire size or loading capacity information can lead to the incorrect sized tire being installed or its overloading, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

On some 2020 INFINITI QX50 vehicles, the label that lists your tire size and how much weight the vehicle can safely carry may be printed so faintly that it cannot be read. If you or a tire shop cannot read that information, the wrong size tires could be installed, or the vehicle could be loaded with more weight than it is built to handle. Either one can make the vehicle handle poorly or cause a tire to fail.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your QX50 is affected.
2. Contact your INFINITI dealer, or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200 (recall PC788).
3. The dealer inspects the label and replaces it if needed, free of charge.
