What's wrong, in plain English

On some 2020 Taycans, the bolted connections holding the upper control arms at the rear axle may be loose. Control arms are the parts that hold each rear wheel in the right position. If a loose connection comes apart, the car can suddenly become unstable and hard to control. The notice does not say the bolts can simply be retightened; dealers will replace the screw connections at the rear axle at no charge to you.

Summary: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2020 Taycan vehicles. The front and rear upper control arm screw connections on the rear axle may be loose.
Safety risk: A loose control arm connection may fail, causing a loss of vehicle stability and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the screw connections, free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed January 13, 2022. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AMC3.
