What's wrong, in plain English

The front passenger seat has a system that senses who is sitting there and decides whether the passenger airbag should be switched on. On these cars that system can make an error and turn the front passenger airbag off. If that happens, the airbag will not inflate in a crash, so a person riding in the front passenger seat has less protection. Dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion at no cost.

What you should do

1. Look up your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your Taycan is part of campaign 25V221000 (Porsche recall ASA2).
2. Call your Porsche dealer or Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 to make an appointment.
3. Have the front passenger seat cushion replaced — the repair is free.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 24, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ASA2.
