Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager second-row seats may not lock
high How serious is it? About this label
An unsecured seat increases the risk of injury in a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The second-row seats latch onto the floor so they stay put. On these vans the latch can stick in the open position, which means the seat may look installed but is not actually locked down. A seat that is not secured can move in a crash, and it also affects the anchors used for child safety seats. A dealer will check the latch and replace the seat cushion frame if needed.
What you should do
1. Look up your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your van is affected.
2. Schedule an inspection with your Chrysler dealer, or call FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 and reference recall Z22.
3. Let the dealer inspect and, if needed, replace the seat cushion frame at no cost to you.
