Cadillac XT5, XT6 and GMC Acadia rear suspension bolt

NHTSA campaign 22V427000 · Reported 2022-06-16 · General Motors, LLC

high How serious is it? About this label

This is serious, because a toe link that separates can cause you to lose control of the car and crash, so get the free inspection done as soon as your dealer can take you in.

What's wrong, in plain English

A bolt in the left-rear suspension may not have been tightened correctly at the factory. That bolt holds a part called the toe link, which keeps the rear wheel pointed the right way. If the bolt is loose or missing, the toe link can come apart while you are driving and the rear wheel can shift out of position. A dealer will inspect the left-rear suspension and put in a new fastener if it is loose or missing.

What you should do

2. Call Cadillac at 1-800-458-8006 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782, or your dealer, and ask for recall N222364330.
3. Have the dealer inspect and replace the fastener if needed — the repair is free.
