Tesla Cybertruck accelerator pedal can stick down
critical How serious is it? About this label
Very serious — the truck can accelerate without you asking it to, which can cause a crash, though the notice does not tell owners to park the vehicle.
What's wrong, in plain English
On some 2024 Tesla Cybertrucks, the pad on the face of the accelerator pedal can slide off its mounting. If it comes loose, it can slip up and get caught on the interior trim above the pedal, holding the pedal down. The truck can then speed up on its own even after you take your foot off the pedal. Tesla will repair or replace the accelerator pedal assembly at no cost to you.
