NHTSA campaign 25V170000 · Reported 2025-03-18 · Tesla, Inc.

medium How serious is it? About this label

A part falling into traffic raises crash risk for everyone around you, though the notice does not say to stop driving the truck.

What's wrong, in plain English

The light bar on some 2024-2025 Tesla Cybertrucks can come unstuck and detach from the truck. If it does, it can fall off while you are driving and end up in the road, where it becomes a hazard for you and for other drivers. Tesla service will replace the cant rail assembly, the piece the light bar attaches to, at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2025.
