What's wrong, in plain English

Some 2024 Toyota Tundra pickups with the V35A engine may have leftover debris from the factory inside the engine. That debris can wear out a main bearing, a part the engine needs to turn smoothly. If the bearing fails, the engine can quit while you are driving and the truck loses power. Dealers will check the bearing using inspection software and driving data, and replace the engine if needed, free of charge.

2. Contact your Toyota dealer or Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 about recalls 25TB14 and 25TA14.
3. Watch for the follow-up letter once the final fix is ready — inspection and any engine replacement are free.

Summary
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Tundra vehicles equipped with a V35A engine. Debris from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause a main bearing to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.
Safety risk
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will perform an inspection on the #1 main bearing using vehicle inspection software and drive data, and if necessary, replace the engine. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed July 23, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB14 and 25TA14. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall numbers 24V381 and 25V767.
